Originally from upstate New York, Deborah Gregg earned a BFA in graphic design and illustration from the University of Miami, studied at the Arts Students League in New York City, and Oxbow School of Art in Saugatuck, Michigan. She began her career as an Art Director for advertising agencies, first in Michigan, then as Creative Director in South Florida. Later, Deborah transitioned into teaching art and mixed-media painting and sculpting. Her graphic design background weighs in heavily into her work, as she includes original writings, text and numerals. She often mixes unexpected objects and materials, either found or self-created, into her pieces, resulting in unique, memorable works of art. She has received national ADDY awards for advertising, as well as many awards in fine art. Deborah has been published in national publications, exhibits in many juried, solo and group exhibitions and is in private collections in the US as well.
