Galleries to Reopen with Three New Exhibitions on September 11

The galleries of the Coral Springs Museum of Art will be closed for visitation between August 28 and September 10 for the installation of three new exhibits. The galleries will reopen on Sunday, September 11, 2016* with the exhibitions of Ira Reines & Erte Retrospective, JoAnn Nava, and John Patrick Kelly.

Admission will be complimentary on Sunday, September 11, 2016, in observance of Grandparents Day, Patriots Day, and in honor of the 15th anniversary of September 11th.

An Artist Reception will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm. We invite you to enjoy beverages and light hors d’oeuvres as you mingle with friends and fellow guests to view these exhibitions and meet Ira Reines, Jo Ann Nava and John Patrick Kelly.

Master Scupltor and Erté protégé Ira Bruce Reines will sculpt live on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 12:30pm as part of the Lost Wax Process Demonstration.  Reines Collection Curator Daniel Winn will host the demonstration and present a lecture detailing the lost wax casting process – the process by which an artist’s original clay artwork is transformed into bronze sculpture.
