SUMMARY:Opening Reception: Imitating the Masters by Christian Early
DESCRIPTION:Imitating the Masters by Christian Early \nWitness how an artist on the spectrum can imitate the masters and bring to life some of the world’s most beloved works of art. This exhibition\, organized by the Coral Springs Museum of Art\, features paintings by Christian Early\, an illustrator\, cartoonist\, and painter who found inspiration in the grand masters. Adults with autism see the world differently and tend to look at details others take for granted. As a painter\, Early imitates paintings with his own unique twist. For example\, in Rousseau’s “The Dream” Early replaced the woman with a crocodile. In Van Gogh’s “Vase\,” he placed an eye on the vase and flower extensions.
