Learn about art history and contemporary art while you socialize and sip! We provide supplies and a selection of beverages. Your first drink is on us! \nJuly 11 theme:\nMagnificent Kahlo Still Life\n(Frida Kahlo’s Still Life with Parrot and Fruit\, 1951) \n\nDiscover the rich symbolism in Frida Kahlo’s lesser-known work\, Still Life with Parrot and Fruit\, 1951. Though recognized for her portraits\, Kahlo’s still lives are abundant and full metaphors and vivid colors. We’ll explore the techniques of painting organic forms\, light and shadow\, and touch on the importance of color theory in this iconic piece.
