Other times\, it leaves lasting impressions that shape identities and lives. Transitions\, on view from October 17\, 2025\, through January 3\, 2026\, at the Coral Springs Museum of Art explores this enduring human condition through the work of the contemporary artists of SOBRA Collective. \nTransitions features a collection of more than 30 works that reflect on moments of profound personal and collective change. Using an array of materials and processes\, the artists present deeply personal interpretations of transitions that range from physical displacement to spiritual passage\, from shifting identities to evolving states of mind. \nSOBRA Collective is a South Florida-based group of artists that aims to cultivate connection\, exposure\, and opportunities for visual artists and arts professionals in Broward County and South Florida. DESCRIPTION:Opening Reception:\nJoin us for an Opening Reception showcasing work by talented South Florida-based artists that represent the intricacies of Hispanic heritage and the cultural\, social\, and aesthetic negotiations that emerge from the experience of immigration within the Hispanic diaspora. \nAbout the Exhibition:\nOn view October 2 – 29\nEntre Dos Mundos foregrounds the ways in which artists articulate complex identities shaped by both ancestral heritage and the lived realities of their adopted environments. The works on view explore themes of displacement\, adaptation\, and continuity\, situating immigration not solely as a rupture but also as a generative process that produces new forms of cultural expression. Through visual strategies that draw from traditional iconographies\, contemporary practices\, and cross-cultural dialogues\, these artists highlight the fluidity of identity across geographic and symbolic borders. \nThe Opening Reception and exhibition are free to attend and view. DESCRIPTION:Imitating the Masters by Christian Early \nWitness how an artist on the spectrum can imitate the masters and bring to life some of the world’s most beloved works of art. This exhibition\, organized by the Coral Springs Museum of Art\, features paintings by Christian Early\, an illustrator\, cartoonist\, and painter who found inspiration in the grand masters. Adults with autism see the world differently and tend to look at details others take for granted. As a painter\, Early imitates paintings with his own unique twist. For example\, in Rousseau’s “The Dream” Early replaced the woman with a crocodile. In Van Gogh’s “Vase\,” he placed an eye on the vase and flower extensions.
