Fathers’ Day Super-Dad Card
It’s the time of year to celebrate how super Dad is! Come on over to the museum ahead of this year’s Father’s Day to create a 3D card of Dad as the superhero he is! Using an assortment of papers and decorative materials, our museum educators will guide you and your child to creating a special memory that Dad is sure to remember! Spaces are limited, so sign up today! Workshop price includes making one handmade 3D card for a parent and child. Materials included.

Portrait Drawing Workshop – Ages 16+
Ever dreamed of drawing a portrait, but thought it would be too challenging? Using sculpture and photo references, learn how forms, values, halftones, hard/soft lines, and relationship lines can be used to construct the face. With the knowledge of what lies beneath the skin, coupled with learning about structural planes, students will gain understanding of how to complete a portrait from a photo reference. Beginning students and those with prior experience are welcome! A one-hour lunch break is held at the midpoint of the workshop, so bring along a sack lunch or plan to visit a local restaurant. Easy Guide to Photographing Art + Objects Workshop – Ages 16+
Whether you take pictures of everyday objects, document your own artwork, or even take photographs of items that you sell online – this course is for you! Learn the ins and outs of improving your skills as a still life photographer through insights into lighting, positioning, and essential camera settings. No previous experience necessary! A one-hour lunch break is held at the midpoint of the workshop, so bring along a sack lunch or plan to visit a local restaurant. Digital camera required, and students will bring 2 artworks or 2 objects to photograph.

Drawing Interior Spaces Workshop – Ages 16+
If you have struggled with drawing geometric spaces like rooms, buildings, or cities, you may need to develop perspective. This workshop introduces linear 1-point and 2-point perspective, starting with creating imaginary spaces and then drawing from observation of the museum’s unique architecture structures. By the end of this workshop, you will never see your drawings the same way again! This is a beginner’s class but is also a valuable refresher for artists of every level. Art of Healing Workshop– Ages 16+
Leah Guzman, board certified art therapist and professional artist will guide you in creating a life wheel, looking at each section of our life for balance. In the second hour students will create art related to one area of our life that needs healing (releasing). In the last hour students will create art related to what they want to manifest in their lives. Each participant will receive a signed copy of Leah’s new book filled with creative exercises to heal and manifest.
