Preschool- Jump stART
Each week your child will discover unique works of art followed by a creative activity and project. This class provides preschool prep and is sure to spark inspiration and independence. Drawing + Painting for Teens

Teen Drawing and Painting: designed to develop students’ overall techniques and artistic creativity. Use different paint mediums and drawing techniques and explore a variety of subjects ranging from animals to nature and everything in between! Every class offers something new to learn. Master’s Remixed: Learn to recreate the art works of master artists such as Picasso, Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Monet and more in different mediums and style. This remixed painting and drawing class will take you out of your comfort zone and get creative in new ways. Look at art from different perspectives and styles.

YOUTH ARTS

Ceramics- Hand building for Young Potters
This introduction to hand building class will teach the beginning methods of creating ceramic pieces. In the first session students will enjoy using clay techniques that include coil, pinch, and slabs. The second session will focus on continuing these techniques while exploring carving, stamping and textures in pottery. Sessions don’t repeat so you can sign up multiple times with no prior experience. This class will work on different projects weekly, and the last class we will glaze and fire all the work. The Homeschool Studio
This 2-hour class blends fine art techniques with your child’s own creative expression. Ceramics- Clay Wheel Throwing
Location: In-Person, Upstairs – Pottery Studio 4

Beginning Wheel Throwing
This course introduces students to the basics of throwing pottery and provides them with an understanding of ceramic terms, processes and knowledge needed to use the pottery studio safely and independently. Topics include centering clay, throwing basic forms, handles and glazing. Sessions include demonstrations and practice time under the guidance of the instructor. Students are encouraged to practice between class sessions and have free access to the pottery studio. New students may miss no more than two classes and must attend the first class and the glazing class. Hand building experience is not required but recommended. Clay is not included. A supply list is provided on the website and in your emailed receipt.
Continuing Wheel Throwing
This class is designed for those who have taken beginner wheel or have had wheel throwing experience and need further refinement in basic throwing skills in order to progress to more challenging levels. It also serves as a refresher course for students who have previously taken throwing classes but have not thrown for some time. Clay is not included. A supply list is provided on the website and in your emailed receipt. Prerequisite: Beginner Wheel Throwing

Through a combination of demonstrations and individual work time, students will further develop their hand building skills while making distinctive pieces guided by instructor. A variety of construction techniques will include soft slabs, stiff slabs, and coils. Students will learn to add flair and professionalism to their pieces by adding finishing touches such as feet and handles. This class will help individuals develop and express their own unique style through clay. Clay is not included. A supply list is provided on the website and in your emailed receipt.

Private Class Lessons
Looking for one on one instruction? Private classes are great for artists that are interested in developing their skills and advancing them to the next level. These special lessons are especially great for artists who prefer focused one on one instruction or for someone who can’t make it to a scheduled group class. Photography- Photography Sampler

Sample the world of photography. Students will get to explore the themes and styles of photography such as storytelling through images, freezing motion in sports, capturing nature through landscapes and more. Students will get to fully immerse themselves in the photo making process by learning how to control their camera settings such as shutter speed, ISO, F/stop, exposure compensation, and white balance. In each 2.5-hour class students will work with concepts of color theory, color mixing, textures, and brushwork techniques. You will learn the foundation of using acrylics and successfully complete at least 2 painting by the end of the class. Beginning Sewing Sewing is a skill for people. From making small repairs to making complete wardrobes, sewing provides for our basic, and not so basic, clothing needs. Visiting Artist Workshop – Portrait Sculpture – Pottery
Instructor: Leda Almar
Level: Beginner – Advanced
Location: In Person Workshop, Upstairs – Ceramics Studio
Prerequisite: Must have a basic knowledge of hand building

In this workshop, students will learn the basics methods of sculpting and modeling a figure, head, and bust. They will become knowledgeable with the materials, process, and tools required to successfully develop their figure from concept to completion. The sculpture will be painted and fired during the workshop and ready for pick up one week later. A $20 material fee is included in workshop price. Please bring a snack and/or lunch.

Schedule:
– 1 hour drawing class, where students will sketch to develop an understanding of the proportions of the head and bust.
– 3 hours of modeling and sculpting: Learn how to transform geometric shapes into facial features through an understanding of anatomy. Our characters and their stories will come to life. Students will have the chance to add their own details such as hair, hats, scarfs, and other elements that will make their piece unique.
– 1 hour to paint, design and learn about underglazes, how to use and apply them.

Visiting Artist Workshop – Silly Rabbits – Pottery
Instructor: Diane Lublinski
Level: Intermediate
Location: In Person Workshop, Upstairs – Ceramics Studio
Prerequisite: Must know how to throw a bottle on the wheel, in addition to a basic knowledge of hand building

Visiting artist Diane Lublinski will show you how to construct one of her iconic “Silly Rabbit” sculptures. Basic knowledge of wheel throwing and hand building is necessary. Students will explore carving and textural techniques, innovative glazing methods, and much more! The sculpture will be painted and fired during the workshop and ready for pick up one week later. A $20 material fee is included in workshop price. Please bring a snack and/or lunch.
