Home Study at the Museum

This 2-hour creative class teaches young students about art history, elements of art, and principles of design through hands-on projects and exploring the Museum. Class content changes each session, so signing up more than once will always bring new experiences! Supplies are included.

Character Illustration
Are you a fan of manga, anime, cartoons, and other animated content? Learn how to start building your own animated world by drawing your own characters! In this class, students will learn anatomy, facial expressions, and more, as they bring their own characters to life. Supplies are included.

Drawing can be fun at any age level, but the fun grows a lot quicker when students start to understand the fundamental techniques and ideas beneath the surface. Learn all about the basics of creating fun ceramic art! Play in clay with the coil, pinch, and slab forming techniques that build confidence in creating your own unique projects. Beginning Procreate
In this class, students take their drawing skills from paper to screen! Learn the basics of Procreate, a digital illustration software available on iPad, and discover a limitless world of creativity. Different digital brushes, textures, and techniques provide a mess-free, enriching artmaking experience. Technology and supplies are included.

Found Object Art
Have you ever wanted to make art, but thought you had no tools to make them? In this class, young artists learn how to turn waste into wonder while understanding the importance of sustainability and upcycling. Students will use everyday objects like packaging, bottle caps, scrap fabric, and more to create paintings, sculptures, and other one-of-a-kind artworks they’ll be proud to take home. In this course, students will learn the basics of shooting videos on their smartphones and editing with free video editor apps. Private Class Lessons
Looking for one on one instruction? Private classes are great for artists that are interested in developing their skills and advancing them to the next level. These special lessons are especially great for artists who prefer focused one on one instruction or for someone who can’t make it to a scheduled group class.
