Class: Figure Drawing Fundamentals
Explore the human form in this eight-week live nude figure drawing class designed for artists of all levels, from beginners to advanced. This course encourages careful observation with creative expression in a structured and supportive environment. Students begin with quick gesture drawings and gradually progress to longer, more resolved studies. Instruction emphasizes proportion, anatomy, action, line variation, and the effective use of light and shadow, as well as understanding mass, planes, and overall design to capture the essence of the pose. Each session includes demonstrations, guided instruction, and ample studio time, along with individual support and feedback from the instructor. By the end of the class, students will have a stronger understanding of the human figure and a body of work that reflects their growth and creative progress.

- Kneaded eraser, pink pearl eraser
- Tortillons and blending stumps
- Sandpaper palette

- Board to lean paper on.

- Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Board Pads 9 x12”
- Graphite 2B Pencils
