The Coral Springs Museum of Art will continue this vital conversation about Alzheimer’s Awareness and Dementia during a community talk called “Art and the Brain” on September 12th, held in the Main Gallery.
Art and the Brain: Naked Neurons
Join Kristin Beck and Lindsey Wuest for a thought-provoking discussion and a brain thumping art activity. ‘Naked Neurons’ is an interactive conversation and creative experience that will inspire attendees to analyze memories associated with the senses in a tactile way—assigning a deeper meaning to how our brains process memories. Beck and Wuest will share insight into their creative practices—one teaching elementary kids science through art and the other creating art in response to science and cognitive decline. Together, we will discover how these paths converge in interesting ways to uncover the naked truth about our identities. No art skills are required for this activity and all supplies will be included.
