Diving Into Watercolor

Join us for an exploratory workshop and immerse yourself in the fluid, expressive world of watercolor painting. This session focuses on building confidence with water, pigment, and paper through guided practice and creative experimentation.

Participants will learn essential techniques such as washes, layering, blending, and color mixing while embracing the spontaneity that makes watercolor so captivating. With demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and time to create, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the medium and your own artistic approach.

Students Will Need:
-Watercolor set of pans or tubes
-Watercolor Brushes: Round 4, Long Round 8, Angle Shader 3/8″, and a Wash 3/4″ flat.
-Additional items:
-Cold press watercolor paper 140 lb. or 300gsm.
-Sketchbook that contains paper that works well with water media.
-A board or flat surface to tape watercolor paper onto
-Water container
-Masking Tape
-Paper towels and tissues
-Plastic Palette or china plate to use as a palette
-Drawing pencils, erasers
