Empty Walls Fundraiser

The Coral Springs Museum of Art will fill its galleries with hundreds of original artworks, only to intentionally clear them again, during Empty Walls, a fundraising exhibition and sale on Saturday, March 21, from 5:30 to 9 PM. The event invites the public to help “empty the walls” by purchasing original 6-by-6-inch works created and donated by artists of all skill levels and mediums. Each piece will be sold for $25, with proceeds supporting museum art programming and helping sustain free public access to the arts.

Event Schedule:
5:30 PM to 6:30 PM: Museum Member + Exhibiting Artists | FREE
6:30 PM to 7:30 PM: Early Entry Ticket Holders | $10
7:30 PM to 9 PM: General Public | FREE

For those wishing to preview the artwork, Empty Walls will be on view beginning March 4, alongside three additional exhibitions. Premier student artwork will be featured in the Superintendent’s Advanced Placement Studio Art Exhibition, presented in partnership with Broward County Public Schools, showcasing outstanding Advanced Placement works by Broward County high school students and highlighting the strength of arts education across the district.

Florida Panthers fans and art enthusiasts alike can experience The Home Team by Laura Sopourn, a photographic series printed on metal documenting the Florida Panthers’ historic back-to-back Stanley Cup runs and the collective spirit that united Broward County over two seasons; the exhibition will be on view in the Center for the Arts Lobby Hall Gallery through March 28.

In addition, Imitation of Life by Dario Feal will be presented in the Main Gallery. The immersive installation invites viewers into a reconstructed cinematic environment inspired by mid-century modern visual language and the emotional architecture of film, combining elements of set design, sculpture and conceptual art to explore how domestic spaces reflect identity, illusion and memory.

Laura Sopourn and Dario Feal will be in attendance at the Empty Walls Fundraiser event to answer questions and provide insight into their art. Both The Home Team and Imitation of Life are sponsored by the Broward County Cultural Division.

Artwork will be available for sale throughout the event.
