Uncorked: Paint ‘n Sip

Dive into a world of creativity! Our instructors will lead you in guided experience to create and keep a 11×14” canvas painting based on selected work by a Master painter in a fun and easy-to-follow format. Learn about art history and contemporary art while you socialize and sip! We provide supplies and a selection of beverages. Your first drink is on us!

The Impression of Monet’s Sunrise
(Claude Monet’s Impression, Sunrise, 1872 )

Discover the painting that gave rise and name to a whole movement. Impression, Sunrise, 1872 created by the father of Impressionism, Claude Monet, changed the trajectory of art history and painting. We’ll discover the elements and ideas that made this possible: the rich saturated color, the mark-making of the brush strokes, the quick observational style of painting, the shapes that allude to realistic depictions and their effect on the viewer. Embrace this monumental painting and its rich color and texture, to create your very own version of the masterpiece.
