Ancestral Lines Lecture

Join Adriana Herrera, PhD, independent writer, curator, and co-founder of Aluna Art Foundation, for a public talk on “Ancestral Lines” and the history of textile art that has spanned the generations. This lecture on textile art will allow listeners to intertwine distant times, and will offer a deeper perspective on both the origin and influence of the textile works gathered by Fiber Arts Miami Association (FAMA,) which celebrates and preserves ancestral memory.  Anyone interested in learning about textile traditions and their effect on contemporary art is encouraged to attend.
